Nickelback taking a break?

by Angel Lacelle

53470104.jpg

Well after a very long and trying summer but all in all successful, Nickelback rumors of taking a break.  Krorger says in an interview “It’s been great but i think we need to get a break and give the fans some time, before we come out with a new album”.  I am sure they are burned out from all the work they did around the countries.

I for one say ‘Bravo” to the lot of them, they did a fantastic job and i can not wait to see more music come out.  Even if allot of websites bad mouth the group and hate them to no ends.  I will be here to fight for the group none the less.  I find that this hate thing has gone far enough and like a one hit wonder of the 90’s the hate and negative comments will disappear.  But I don’t fear for Nickelback they will be back stronger with new music and will rock every one yet again.

I find it sad really, because I suspect these hateful remarks were started by ppl that new them and were jealous of their rise to stardom.  Perhaps some local small group that never got noticed (and probably never will).  Got angry to the fact that Nickelback made it and they didn’t and thought it would be a good idea to try to trash them.

Way to go I say, childish and immature and well I hope they realise its not working.  Because despite it all and even leaving a concert without performing ( which i say good on them to not put up with that)  Nickleback made this impact and it wont go away that easy.

To conclude today GO NICKELBACK GO. rock on till you cant rock anymore.

Music videos

well im sure there is more lol

A happy summer time

by Angel Lacelle

Well i think it is safe to say that Nickelback have had an all around great summer.  A few sticky times but a good run none the less.  I think it is fantastic how this band became so big and so known so fast.  And i can only wish them all the luck and that they will come out with more music soon.

All in all this summer has been an interesting one, not only in my life but with Nickelback as well.  i am sure there agenda was as full as any ones.  They covered so many places in such a short time its amazing they didn’t pass out from exhaustion.  But from me to Nickelback ” You guys did good, keep it up”  Man, they are living their dreams out, something so many of us are to scared to take on or just cant find the time to do it.  Of course they do say any excuses to not follow a dream is a poor excuse, and I’m sure that is right.   But ppl like them do tend to push us in the right direction.

Nickelback rocks and hope to hear some new stuff soon.

The cable guy did it.

by Angel Lacelle

nickelback.jpg

Well finally my connection is back on and running, its been so long since i had a good connection was wondering if the Internet was still out there ( HAHA ) but thankfully the cable guys came trough after all, although its still someone slow they told me to put my computer in its original space ( the little office int he back of the house) for maximum speed and i should be alright from now on.  Great so today is what i am doing, changing everything around to get the maximum connection so i can go back to playing unreal and well jsut simply having a ton fun surfing the net.

Now what have our boys Nickelback been up to?  Well still on their tour which i might add is going very very well.  The band have been tickling the worlds auditory senses in every way they can, especially in Nashville.

Rock fans attending Nickelback’s Thursday night (Aug. 30) concert in Nashville heard one of Joe Nichols’ country hits even though Nichols wasn’t there to sing it. When the Canadian band returned to the stage for an encoreat the Sommet Center, they offered a cover version of Nichols’ “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.” Lead vocalist Chad Kroeger told the crowd, “I haven’t been able to get this song out of my mind for a year and a-half. I love this song.” They followed it up with their own hit, “Rockstar.”

now that is what entertainment is all about, you know you’ve reached rock and roll freedom once the fan asks for an encore and with these guys who wouldn’t,  I actually had the pleasure of visiting Hanna the bands birth place, this weekend.  Although the experience was horrible it wasn’t the place, it was simply the fact i had recently changed all 4 tires of my little toy suv and one of them decided to flat out for me, costing me to get it repaired,  but i did have a beautiful time the place was great and i can understand where Nickelback got most of their inspirations for music.

You have to love them.

Ok  i am out i need to do things in real life and try to get back on a regular writing schedule.  well some sort of schedule lol you all rock and be safe.

A little history!

by Angel Lacelle

sq_nickelback_03press_rr.jpg

The band (who consist of Mike on bass,

Chad Kroeger on lead vocals and guitar, Ryan Peake on guitar and backing vocals, and Daniel Adair on Drums and Backing Vocals) relocated to the city in 1996 and released the EP “Hersher” and full-length album, “Curb”, independently and toured around the country playing their own music.
The group’s singer used the promotional knowledge he learned during his two years selling magazine advertising, and asked all of his friends to request the band’s debut single on radio stations until enough people heard it and started to request it themselves. In 1998, they ditched their current management and decided to go it alone – with each band member taking on a role like handling bookings and distribution. At the start of the millennium, the band released another album, called “The State”, independently. The band’s hard work and $30,000 they invested on the release paid off. With them eventually drawing such as buzz with the album’s tracks that they performed live at over 200 shows, that they began performing in front of millions of people with top bands like Creed, 3 Doors Down and Fuel and were snapped up by record label EMI in their native Canada and Roadrunner/Island Def Jam in the US. The album went on to sell 500,000 copies and launched two top ten hits. The band’s early success was no doubt boosted by that fact that under Canadian law, a certain percentage of the music played on the country’s radio stations must be by Canadian artists. The band’s next album, “Silver Side Up”, was released on September 11th, 2001. The album spawned 2002’s most-played single, the massive “How You Remind Me”, which rocketed them to stardom.Since this success, the band’s commercial success hasn’t waned; their fifth and sixth albums (”The Long Road” and “All the Right Reasons”) both topped the Canadian charts, and reached number 6 and 1 in the

US
respectively.
The group’s recognizable songs have appeared on many movie soundtracks, including “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle”, “Daredevil“, and, most famously, “Spider-Man“, which featured the single “Hero”.But the band’s success has also brought them many critics. Grunge fans have criticised them for selling out for ditching their raw sound for radio and chart-friendly tracks. At a Portuguese heavy metal music festival, they were even booed off the stage for not fitting in with the harder sound of other acts playing at the festival. Their performance was greeted by a hail of bottles and rocks being thrown at the stage.

But they thrive as all rock bands do and now are bigger and better then most. Selling record breaking albums at an incredible speed they rock the us,

Canada, and where ever else ppl have ears.  There is no denying that Nickelback will be here for a while rocking the cradles of us all, and well making our hips sway a little every day or our feet tap the pavement as we walk.

So please spare me the BS about them sucking because your to jealous they are rocking.

Have good one ppl and remember Nickelback will still be there in the morning

ROCK ON PPL ROCK ON

Nickelback cand fight baby!!

by Angel Lacelle

pc-artists_nickelback_main.jpg

NICKELBACK star CHAD KROEGER has reportedly been caught up in another brawl after taking offence to a heckler in a Vancouver, Canada nightclub. Canada’s Jam! Musicreports police have confirmed a fight took place at the club but would not name names. Kroeger’s publicist has refused to comment on the fracas, which took place on Friday (04May07). According to witnesses, who described the scene to a local radio station, the rocker punched a man in the face after he poked fun at Kroeger and his band. This is Kroeger’s second run-in with the law in as many months - in March (07) he was caught fighting in a Vancouver strip club. No charges were filed. The rocker is waiting to stand trial on charges of drink driving stemming from an incident last June (06). ”
To funny if it would of been anyone else they would not have made a big deal about it but its Chad where talking about here so of course its a big deal i for one says KUDDOS to you Chad you hot gorgeous man you, and don’t let any one else heckle you while your at it.

I mean come one lol heckling didn’t they use to do that like in the 1800’s if you couldn’t afford shoes or had really bad hair or worked in manure .. wait that still happens to some of us and yes some of us still shovel crap but get paid and have benefits.  OK scratch that point is who cares he fought for his honor and hell if I would of been there Chad i swear i would of jumped the heckler myself :P

But here is a tip for next time if your singing and a Heckler happens to…well heckle simply say this “man you are freaking stupid you paid allot of money to do that and look like a dumb a@@ on camera?” i don’t know but i know it do it for me.

Now you boys and girls have a great night and remember Nickelback is the king so suck it in princess and deal with it.

Nickelback expands???

by Angel Lacelle

images.jpg

That is right boys and girls.   The group have decided to extend their tour dates “Canadian rockers Nickelback , who launch their North American summer tour tonight (6/28), have rolled out a new batch of dates that will keep the group on the road through early September.”  Just when you think they couldn’t any much more to surprise you. they pull this WOOHOO!  I tell you if i had money and time i would of been following them sexy butts all over Canada and well you get the picture.  Just to think they are like neighbours to where I live and since i have to move, well lets just say i have included the bands native town to my list of look abouts.  Hanna Alberta.  I visited it recently on a house hunt and oh my fell in love with it and no not because they are form there but i might say it did help.  Well to no luck i found no houses to tickle my fancy im a goth girl biker girl i do have my reputation to look after i mean i cant simply take a white picket fence house with the purple doors and well …ewww.  No i am looking for a specific house that will outshine even my taste in the…well skulls and swords and daggers and all the little goodies that come with that style lol.

Well lets see what Nickelback will give us tomorrow, till then you all have a great evening or night or day which ever the case maybe.  Do rock on.

Nosey Journalists

by Angel Lacelle

OK I am all for the freedom of speech and the freedom of knowledge and the people’s right to know.  But when is enough enough  i mean Chad was caught drinking and driving once and its still over the net after all this time.  I mean come on ppl let it go.  It is like when a paparazi caught JLo eating pizza it was like war of the worlds or something.  Seems to me if journalists would go after story that really matter world would be better off.  I know for a fact that if i had someone shuve a camera in my face he would be met with a very severe head concusion.  Privacy ppl even the famous are allowed to have some from time to time.  Its comon curtosy to give them space. you remember what that is right space, personal bubble wich you guys tend to invade….ALOT…

So there you go Nickelback have paid their dues like everyone else lets cut em some slack shall we.  I mean i can name you 20 ppl in my town including police officers that would walk into that gas station at 3 am drunk as a skunk and driving like it was ment to be.

So there ya go my piece of mind for today :P

Moving Moving Moving

by Angel Lacelle

chad1.jpg

All in all Nickelnack had a kickass season I onthe other hand find myself moving, yes i have to move the landord was suppose to privatise these units and gives us an option ot buy but apparently someone offerd her a nice sum of money so rent is going up to 1600 monthly.  I cant afford that right now HAHA maybe i should become a dancer i hear they make good money, but wait dont you have to be all girly for that?  ok let me scratch that idea out :P  so where to move i asked myself, being tired of the town i am in at this time i have applied for work pretty much every where  frome calgary to Reddeer and everything in between. i mean my town is fine and all but i think it is also time for a change the bad knews is i have to give up my 2 pit girls in the process now that really sucks. But back to Nickelback here ppl,  (I hope they appreciate the money they have to be able to afford the hourse they have) Perhaps Hanna should be my spot to move ll i might be lucky enough to meet one of them one day.  But anyways all personal stuff aside.  Here are a few other tid bits of Nickelback you might want to seek your eager little teeths in.

 -   On October 13, 2005, Nickelback will make history in Canada, as they
fly with WestJet from east to west in a 24-hour, four-city
promotional tour to celebrate the release of their fourth album, All
The Right Reasons. WestJet has provided the band with a Boeing Next-
Generation 737-700 series aircraft for their 24-hour cross Canada
        blitz.
    -   With over 17 million records sold worldwide, the band have just
released their fourth major album, “All The Right Reasons” on October
        4th.
    -   The band’s 2003 release The Long Road is certified 4x Platinum in
Canada, and has sold more than 5 million copies around the globe.
    -   2001’s Silver Side Up, spawned three No.1 hit singles and achieved
multi-platinum status worldwide and the breakout hit single “How You
Remind Me” garnered the coveted status as the “No. 1 Most Played
Song of 2002″ across all formats according to Billboard Monitor.

- Frontman Chad Kroeger no longer brags about making millions of dollars. Instead, Nickelback recently raised $500,000 for Amnesty International and International Children’s Awareness Canada though the digital sales of their latest single and video, “If Everyone Cared.”

- Kroeger writes lyrics everyone can relate to — and don’t require any deciphering. “Photograph” is a nostalgic look at his younger, rowdier days. “Feelin’ Way Too Damn Good” recounts a two-day romp with a girl who flies in to visit him on tour.

“Lyrically, their songs are written like country songs — they have stories,” says Holden Daniels, who fronts the Edmonton-based duo My Sister Ocean.

“From beginning to end, they have a topic. While [Nickelback's songwriting] is appreciated worldwide, Alberta is a huge country market and [those] listeners want to hear a story. They want to hear a beginning, middle and end to a song.”

- Kroeger is a fan of recycling . . . his own hits, that is. (Sorry, we couldn’t resist.) You can sing the lyrics and melody of the hit song “How You Remind Me” over “Someday” — and vice versa — and the songs still work! Sheer genius.

Enjoy the day im sure it will be nice and sunny :P:P

Nickelback needs time off?

by Angel Lacelle

“I think Chad needs a break,” Kroeger said. “Right now, I’m really interested in enjoying where I’m at in life. I don’t ever want to look back on this and go, ‘Geez, when I was 29 and we were having such a ball, why didn’t I just take off to some island somewhere and grow a beard and lay low?’ I’m having a blast right now touring and making music, and I don’t ever want to be standing onstage going, ‘God, I hate this f—ing song. What am I doing here?’ So I’m gonna take a break for a while so I can come back and appreciate it all over again.”

From the lips of the singer himself they did work hard this year to promote all their music and what not concert after concert, they have done well.  Even the rich need a vacation right.  I mean from all the shopping and what not.  I am not being sarcastic really.  But you have to hand it to the band for such a wonderful summer.  They are expected to finish touring around Sept4 2007 on wich Chad plans to go away for a whil, I mean he needs it after he did have a cliff built in his yard by the pool on wich i might add he had this huge cliff diving party (not to mention onof his guess broke his nose hitting the bottom of the pool at the shallow end) but no legal action was pursuid.

I suppose it is hard to stand there in front of thousands of fans singing and comming up with new stuff on a daily basis.  But, I do hope they know how lucky they are fro having what they do have.  I mean if it was not for us loyal fans Nickelback would not have made one dime off their success.  One word remember where you are from guys,  and remember to apreciate your fans.  Wich i am sure they have no problem doing.  Not bad for ppl from Hanna Alberta.

”"Chad Kroeger: We thought about when we were selling 5,000 copies of our record a week last year, when all we wanted to do was start selling 150,000 records a week, right. And now that we’re doing it, we don’t even think about it, all we ever think about is time off! I think we’d almost give up one week’s sales for one week off. Give up 100,000 records just to go to Hawaii”"

Way to go guys keep up the good music.

Good old cable company

by Angel Lacelle

asqi.jpg

Well I do have to say the cable company is consistent in one thing, and that’s making you wait.  But since the connection problem is no in my house I have to way for the cable crew to come in the back and fix it out there till hen I connect when I can which isn’t to often.

But lets move on to bigger and better things.  Summer is coming to a sad end really weather is crappy the sun is gone and well one things still stays the same and that is Nickelback.  Am I right or am I right?  I mean when all is said and done you have to admit they had a fantastic run and a summer listing of concert.  They have taken the world yet again. And although they must make new material I have to say.  Their songs will be classics for all times.  They have managed to immortalize themselves in their music.  Something most of us still are trying to do in our own way.  After all isn’t immortality what we seek most in life, to leave a lasting impression so ppl do not forget us. Like Ozzy did, or Elvis for that matter.  You all have a great summer or what’s left of it.

On the road again!

by Angel Lacelle
nickelback_dori.jpg

Well my connection seems to work for now they still have not come to fix it yet, go figure. But all is fine really i will do my best to give you all i can of Nickelback and the good little tidbits about them. Good or Bad it doesn’t matter, Although in my eyes i can never see them as bad. Like Chad was once pulled over for a D.U.I., I mean the fact that they are human and make errors is what makes them real and a lot of ppl can connect with that you know.

Now you will excuse the typing for some reason i can only have it centered on th page HAHA must be that kind of morning i suppose. Well as far as Nickelback goes i hope they are on the road and rocking it out and hope that they remember the little ppl that cant always afford to see them live are still rootin and tootin for them in their own way. I mean you don’t have to go to a concert to be a fan or enjoy them, simply get a CD or open the radio and you will hear them all the time.

Speaking of opening i better get my booty out of here and help some ppl out with a couple of horses and a new fence you all have a great day enjoy summer while you can its almost over ppl :)

Angel says GO PLAY.

Nickelback stirs Canada

by Angel Lacelle

nickelback_screens-784582.jpgits no secret Nickelback is taking Canada by rocking storm but i wonder if their performance in PEI will affect their popularity?  Unfortunately the Hanna rockers kind of got out of hand during a concert and well said the F word often and to top it all off they threw beer in the crowd, now the council in PEI acts like its a sacrilegious act.  Maybe when they had the town meeting they should of reminded themselves that you are inviting rockers to a party and there will be profanity and strange things happening.  I mean who has ever went to a rock concert and not see things get out of hand of ppl biting the heads of doves or bats off?  Or even worst i remember one that threw a bucket of spit in the audience.  I mean profanity and beer is way better if you ask me.  But that is just me and on that note anyone dumb enough to bring young children to the front row of the concert is basically out of their minds.  I mean you know its gonna get a little hairy why drag your child to the front row for him or her to get blasted with the sound loud enough to make them deft, but you know to well there could be things thrown.  Not only that but your putting your kids in grave danger by doing it because if a mob of crazy fans decide to move in a child could get trampled and hurt.

Now for 94 percent of the ppl there whom my cousin is one of, said the concert was awesome and Chad and the gang were looking and sounding great.  which is what i want to hear.

So remember folks bringing a CHILD to a ROCK CONCERT is never a good idea.

Later.

Newspapers and Nickelback

by Angel Lacelle

How are you all doing yet again the cable company has sent no one yet to fix my connection, oh what a surprise.  But hey i was in town doing my things when i saw the paper and guess who is on the front page?  Nickelback of course (sighs) they were so close to me i swear i could of jumped in my truck and seen them an hour away.   Such be life  HAHA.  They were great i hear, lots of peeps went to see them and rocked out and i thought it was fantastic.  I mean i wonder if it felt weird for them to perform in front of ppl they know?  Hell even some they grew up with even.  But any ways the point is their tour is a success and i hope they make it even higher still.  We all deserve a little happiness.  I hope they have found theirs.  Alright, enough flim flamming of words its hot its sunny get some music going and do something fun like planning to go see NickelBack maybe? LOL

you all rock out now.

Do you suppose?

by Angel Lacelle

So here i am dying of heat ppl, yes dying i mean hell will never freeze over, and i was wondering what Nickelback is doing right about now, are they BBQ’ing gone to the lake or getting ready for another performance in this heat ( I pity them if they are). But in any case i am glad to say i went into town last night and heard like 15 cars blasting Nickelback was like YEAH BABY!  but all in all heat and searing sun on our heads which Nickelback song is your favorite?  let me know ppl i don’t have all day,,, no wait i do never mind then :P:P PEACE
