Nickelback

Well as luck would have it i have not been on the last couple of days on the reason being i got a new computer.  Now mind you this was made for gaming only but find it works well for regular things as well.

 Nickelback helped in the sense their music was playing while i was putting every thing together wich prevented me from losing my temper when i got stuck and manage to pull it off quite well.  

Well i know this is suppose to be about Them but thought it was important to point out im doing all this on a very kick ass computer now.. as for my old one it is running also but my son will use it more then i will now that i fixed it as well.

The name “Nickelback” came from when Mike Kroeger (Chad’s brother and bass player in Nickelback), worked at a Starbucks and coffee was $1.95 and every one always gave $2.00 so he would say “You want your nickel back?”.

Chad Kroeger was born on november 15 1973 in Hanna, Alberta.

Way back Nickelback were called the “Brick”.

Chad’s middle name is Robert.

The guys from Nickelback are from a small town called Hanna Alberta Canada.

Chad wrote “How you remind me” in 15 minutes.

The song ‘Leader of men” is about Chad saving one of his friends life. The line about jumping off a cliff to save a girl..taht really happened.  “Some of my friends were cliff diving and one of them “Kathy” was getting swept downstream and couldn’t stay afloat she wasn’t a strong swimmer.  So I jumped in, swam down to her and pulled her to shore” recalls Chad on MTV.com

Some of Chad’s influences include the Beatles, Credence Clearwater, Revival, Metallica, Rage against the machine and Soul Coughing.

Ryan Peake uses 3 guitars while on stage a ‘57′ Telecaster, a ‘99′ Telecaster and a ‘99′ Les Paul Custom. He only uses Mesa Boogie amps.

Chad plays a Paul Reed Smith guitar.

In 2002, ‘How you remind me’ was played every 3.2 minutes in the U.S.A.! WOW

Chad named his record company, 604 Records after his telephone number area code (Vancouver, B.C).

Their second cd “Curbs” was named after a good friend Curby who dies by sneeking out of the house to go see his girlfriend.  ON his way to her he got into a car accident and died so did the other person in the other car wich was his girlfriend.

With over 17 million records sold worldwide, the band have just released their fourth major album “All the right reasons” in October 4th.

The band’s 2003 release “The long road” is certified 4x platinum in the Canada, and has sold more then 5 million copies around the globe.

2001’s Silver Side Up, spawned three No.1 hit singles and achieved multi-platinum status worldwide and the breakout hit single “How you remind me” garnered the coveted status as the “No.1 most played song of 2002″ across all formats according to Billboard Monitor.

After visiting so many sites that talk about Nickelback I came to this unsettling conclusion about a lot of people.  Are you ready for my conclusion?  Are you sure?  All right here goes. ( but I think your not ready)

Who ever says they hate Nickelback are emotionally inept, people that are afraid to show they have feelings.  I mean after all not every one can handle liking a song because it touches them in some way or another, and when they find a band that can actually capture their pain or sadness they turn around and say “THEY SUCK!” am I right?

I think I am, in fact I know I am.  I used to do it myself for a while, every time a song would hit me at my weak spot I would say “that song really sucks!”. 

Come on people can you all imagine this 7 feet person with muscles big macho kind of guy, actually like a Nickelback song and maybe even cry?  I THINK NOT!  That person would rather say they “SUCK Chad doesn’t know how to sing and should get a real job”.  HAHA!  makes me laugh it really does, instead of saying ” hey this song isn’t half bad” the macho man goes “ Eh! Who said he was able to sing man”  Suck it up baby and hear the music ears wide open THEY ROCK! and if your not man enough to admit it well to bad :P:P.

I mean if you consider all the movies their songs have played in and all the places they tour in and how many people pay to see them, well its pure jealousy and the inability to accept they rock your pants off.  I for myself think they outshine a lot of other bands because they are singing about something called “life” you know that thing we do every day.

And that alone is enough for me to get hooked because they touch me.  I guess they touch that part in my heart I keep to myself that part of my soul I don’t let fly free. Because Once I hear their song I let go for that 3 minute or 4 minute or how ever long that song is lasting.  It gives me the strength to dream a little dream for that moment and sometimes, Yes sometimes gives me a little hope or lets a bit of that sadness I carry inside escape a little, giving me room to take on some more before I explode in a million pieces. ( this is my cue to wrap it up)

I find it a mystery how music can do so much for one person and I cant even imagine what it does to a whole civilization of ppl.  I love Nickelback and that is that, I’m not asking you to like em that would be kissing booty and well I am just not that kind of person YA KNOW!.

But hey guess what?  It doesn’t matter, listen, hear and read the lyrics to some of their songs and you would be surprised at how much they resemble some parts of our lives.  After all we can’t live life by simply being these mindless robots doing our life everyday like a memorized play that no one will applause to at the end. 

I prefer to live out of the mainstream thank you very much and if liking Nickelback makes me a woos or a freak then so be it life’s to short to be hung up on all the little things that happens in our lives and what ppl think or say about us.  Only one opinion counts and that is our own. 

Enjoy the music and hey don’t be afraid to check the band out some more.  Oh!  Be careful would not want you to become and individual with your own ideaa and likes now would we.  HAHAHA!  Wake up ppl Rock is for ever, face it, love it, worship it.

Morning people!  So any of you give a thought to all I have been saying? And giving Nickelback a try? Huh!!

Well I hope you are and for those of you who do listen to him I’m glad to know that :).  Ok!  If you do want more information on them please feel free to click on the links on this page to the right if you will it has a good selection of places to look.  But today I want to know “Who has seen Nickelback in concert?”  I am just curious really. I myself seen them twice only unfortunately but it was a very memorable time.  I don’t like to go to concerts but, for them anything.

I try to put a new on up when I can in here to give ppl a chance to listen to them.  Tell you a story here I have this very macho friend who says he hates them well I had a music file of them I made him listen to and he loved the song saying things like “Wow this is kick a@@ music you have to give me the bands name so I can get the cd blab blab blab”.  Well he got so angry at me when I told him it was Nickelback he didn’t talk to me for weeks HAHA to funny.

I find ppl take music to seriously at times, music was meant to sooth our auditory senses, relax us or get us all revved up for a the day or the night out lol or the night IN :P.  Ppl need to relax today and enjoy what ever music they like and listen to no matter who sings it.  But I find a lot of fans for NIckelback great sites and I will try to list a few in my next post just of you.

I truly believe that deep inside of us we all have a little rock and roll that wants to come out SCREAMING!!!

Am I right? it dosent seem to matter if you only like country once in a while you hear a song on the radio and you cant help but bob your head to the tune and its ROCK! Its ok, it doesn’t make you a bad person but wouldn’t you rather know its was probable a song from Nickelback then some other random band. I love them simply for the reason they are human, and they are CANADIAN, and they make errors like we do. Chad for example the lead singer was once arrested for drunk driving.

Just an example. I mean I would rather listen to a band that the ppl in it are real and are human then some random group that makes noise and you have no idea what they are singing or where the hell they came from I mean hey there are amazing groups out there like Hinder (Lips of an angel), Evanescence (Haunted), Lacuna Coil (Heavens a lie), Disturbed, Ozzy (gets me trough, Metallica (Enter sandman), Slayer, Marylin Manson (this is the new S*&^), Damage plan, Tea Party (Walking wounded), Adema( giving in), Tool (Anema), Finger 11(Paralyzer), 10 years(wasteland), 3 doors down( here without you), Megan McCauley (die for you), Mudvane, Cold play, Breaking Benjamin (Evil angel), Buckcherry (Crazy B*&^%), Creed (lullaby). I mean the list goes on and on. These are just some of my favorite bands. And so many new ones come out everyday it never stops but I like to go back to basics and Nickelback does that for me it brings me down and gets me into the groove of what ever day is beginning.

Long story short it dosent matter what you listen to but its a start check out the video comment if you want its all about music here baby!!!!!!

Well camping is here and let me tell you there is nothing like the smell of open fire, beer, and great music.  Nickelback I find is fantastic music on a camping site.  You can hear it in the back ground and it just sets the mood for you to sit and chat with old pals or family members.

 I think that is the best memory I have about camping, it is the simplicity and the comfort of knowing you don’t have to get up in the morning and lets not forget the TUNES.  I mean think about it you nature and nothing in between. 

 I prefer the earlier work of Chad “The State” for this purpose I don’t know got that camping feel to it for me, but that’s just me and lets face it I am strange after all but that’s why you like me. Some of you may or may not like Nickelback after all its not every ones taste. But I do suggest you give them a listen. I mean its not everyday you can get music that suits your audio senses. I myself find them very down to earth singing about what we know and truly want from their ballads to their rock out beat I find them to be a good addition to any music you carry in your car. At one time I even saw a 50 plus person bobbing their head to their music.Lets face it some of you say you don’t like them but there is a song you must enjoy if not all of them. I my self prefer “Next Contestant” It is almost a comical song as he sings about his girlfriend giving him a hard time with other man and well he simply says his word.
